Breaking rules aka Outfit #2


Tee: Target (men's undershirt)
Jeans: LOFT - gift from my sister
Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Shoes: Steve Madden
Earrings: Target
Belt: Banana Republic
Necklace: gift from my mom

Let's discuss all the personal style rules that I've created for myself that I have managed to break in a single outfit, shall we?


1. Cropped/cuffed pants are not your friend.


2. NEVER tuck your shirts into jeans.


3. Don't wear more than one baggy piece.


4. Avoid pants as often as possible.


5. Baggy clothes should be worn with casual shoes.


6. If you wear your hair down, don't add any accessories around your neck.

How's that for breaking the rules? This 30x30 challenge might get crazy, y'all....

P.S. Have y'all SEEN this list?! (Of course you have.) Let's just say that all my procrastination hours could easily go into this and I'd barely make a dent in it.

    And THIS, my friend...THIS is exactly why there should be NO fashion rules!

    You look marvelous! I seriously love this outfit for every single broken rule you mentioned, plus things that weren't even rules like that awesome belt and the fabulous necklace.

    Not to mention the fact that you're just adorable anyway. :)

    It's truly amazing how many remixers there are this time around. I did it last time and visited every last one of the 350 or so bloggers who took part. That effort took me a month in my spare time...so I can't imagine how long it might take to visit all of these. I really like the necklace your mother gave you.

    You look great Frances, this is such a fresh and yong look, and the weather from what I can see is beautiful again huh? We are living in glaciers girl, everything is frozen and the streets super dangerous!

    I love all your "rules"! I don't like to wear too many accessories when I wear glasses but that's about it! I love tucking things in (my inner nerd). and mixing colors is my favorite! I guess I do like to keep proportions in check but really you did a great job of balancing this, especially with the fab shoes!

    Love your rules, but I've been breaking them too. The cuffed pants look is my favorite, but I'm super short -- wah, wah. : ( So I do one longer cuff, so the eye doesn't focus at the one small portion of my calf. I love heels with everything.
