Western with Eastern

Tee: Target
Cardigan: Ann Taylor
Skirt: Gap
Boots: Nine West
Belt: Thrifted
Earrings: Turkey
Scarf: J Crew
Sassy face and peace-ing out: for real, finally leaving the restaurant

I wore this on the 9th of March, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this look. It's not too fancy, not too mind blowing, but there is something about denim and black that I absolutely love. Throw in a little brown, and I'm over the moon with my mixed neutrals and Western vibe.

We had a group of Master's students from Eastern University here last week, while I wore this outfit, and one of the guys in the group had a truly enviable belt buckle. It was massive and I have to confess that I may have been tempted to steal it. I even told his wife that. This is my attempt to keep myself from wishing I had his belt buckle.

I have to say that I really enjoyed our first hosting experience. It was a ton of work, I spent a lot of time interpreting for the group, and we had to do a lot of ferrying of people and supplies, but things went smoothly and I met a lot of cool people.

The two highlights: our old professor told us he was so proud of the work his graduates are doing and the girls in the program told me that they were totally impressed by how I managed to look "so cute" while working in the field. I told them I was offering classes for my fellow development workers, and they laughed. I guess they didn't realize that this blog should be required reading for the program.

Or something....
