Green

Sweater: Target
Dress: Target (gift from my mom)
Belt: Target
Shoes: Steve Madden (gift from my mom)
Earrings: Turkey

Seriously? How did I end up wearing so much Target? I don't even know. But I guess that's okay because B picked this outfit out and if he'd wanted more variety in clothing sources, he'd have made it happen, right?

He loves this sweater, and I love it in theory. What I mean is that I love it when it's on, but it's not the thing that I reach for when I'm getting dressed. I don't know why because the silhouette is perfect and the color is so much fun. I should be reaching for it more often, am I right?

I'm glad B helps me to get some use out of this particular item, though. Any outfit suggestions for this sweater?

Also, I asked my mom for some flat shoes so I can keep walking to school when our car breaks down (it's at least once a month, y'all) and she sent me these and the oxfords I've already shown off. Cute, right? I'm pretty smitten.

  1. This whole outfit is adorable! The green sweater is really cute and so many options for styling it! What about navy, yellow, pink, light blue, and of course black?

  3. Love this outfit! The flats are super cute and that shade of green is gorgeous on you. I think the sweater would also look great tucked into a navy pencil skirt or worn over it with a thin belt to cinch the waist.

  4. I feel like that sweater is exactly the sort of thing I would have loved pre-blog, but now I'd probably never wear it.
So that is your answer as to why you aren't reaching for it, even though you still probably like it.
Or i might be wrong, but I know thats what has happened to such items in my closet.

  5. B. did a pretty fantastic job picking out an outfit for you! Agree with Simone, this would look fab with a pencil skirt, or even some nice slacks. (Pants don't get much love in the style blogging world but I think it would look good!)

  7. It's a gorgeous sweater. Have you ever tried it with a button down underneath or a blouse with a bow? I'm admiring your hair.

  8. I've tried it once with a ruffly blouse, but I like the idea of it over just a plain white button up.

  9. That's a good idea. I'm supposed to make some trousers in my sewing class, so maybe!
