Leather

Scarf and boots remixed
Sweater: Banana Republic
Skirt: Las Pepas in Argentina (be warned, music plays as soon you go to that page)
Scarf: Target
Tights: No idea
Boots: Nine West
Earrings: Guatemala - gift

I took a cue from Joanne of Sidewalk Chic in creating this look. I've had this leather skirt for eight years and I can count the number of times I've worn it on one hand. Anyway, reading her post on how to make your leather skirt work for everyday life reminded me that I really wanted to wear my own leather skirt more often.

I started simple by keeping everything in the same color palette: black and grey with a touch of blue in the scarf. Is it the most exciting outfit ever? Not really, but maybe someday soon I'll work my way up to something crazy amazing. Now that I've worn it once, I'll have to wear it again, right? Right. It'll happen and it'll be great.

I have to say I felt pretty sassy in this outfit, though. I think the funky earrings and the pop of color in the scarf helped. Also, the boots. At first I thought it'd be too much leather, but the weather report pushed that fear right out of my mind. In the end, I think it was just enough leather.

  7. I love this skirt. I was looking for a leather skirt at thrift stores a few months ago and found a pleather and fabric skirt instead at Marshalls. I have been waiting for it to get back from the cleaners to wear it again.

  8. Ok...I am in love with this skirt! I was just bought a faux leather skirt from H&M but it doesn't even compare to this skirt you have on. I want that skirt!

  10. Beautiful.... The skirt looks amazing on you. would love to see the back of it. Wouldn't have been too much leather even if you had a jacket with gloves on....(if the weather calls for it)
I imagine you'd also look amazing in leather Pants... ;0)
