Rainy day dress

This is an outfit from one of our early days here in Costa Rica, before the sun came out and it was raining all day. That's why they call it the rainforest, I guess. After days of wearing jeans, I just wasn't feeling like myself and I wanted to wear a dress. Of course, it was still cold and rainy, so a sweater dress it was.
And for the first time EVER I got my quintessential "fashion blogger in an empty field" picture. I was pretty pumped. B thought I was weird, but I know y'all will appreciate it. I feel like I've graduated, like someone should give me a ribbon for mastering this important pose.
I've also mastered crazy face and awkward legs, in case there are ribbons for that.

I say you deserve a cookie, not a ribbon. Ribbons don't taste very good. :)
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks so super cozy and I love the socks and boots! That scarf adds so much fun and color, too!
I am so glad that you are settling in. I missed your regular posts and I am really excited to see how your style will evolve with your new surroundings.
ReplyDeleteof course there's a ribbon for crazy legs and awkward face (or was it the other way around? I'm confused)! I'll be sending them to you by mail as soon as possible, for you have mastered them with excellence! :D
ReplyDeletebut seriously now, I like this outfit very much, and can understand the sentiment of not feeling like yourself after a long time without dresses. I get this after I've travelled, because I would hardly pack a dress to spend some time in a different city (or state, or country) when all I plan to do is walk a lot. so usually when I return home, the first thing I want to do is put a dress or a skirt on and be all girlie and stuff :)
um beijo!
Gorgeous photo setting...love the scarf too..im going to be using tons in the 30x30 remix..they dont count, lol

you're so pretty hun, love the picture of you in the fields, very fashion blogger hehe but very beautiful! Costa Rica seems like a lovely place, looks a bit like Goa my hometown :)
ReplyDeletehaha you are so silly Frances, those pictures are beautiful, I'm sure none of the pro bloggers out there have such beautiful and unique background. Take more pictures outside I love them! You look beautiful, keep warm and dry!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on graduating to the empty field! Actually, I like the wispy backgrounds here! And you wear your boots like I've started to do!
ReplyDeleteCute, love the scarf and the boots. I have just been given a simple grey dress by my mother and intend to include in in my 30 or 30.

you totally rock that field, and your scarf is so pretty, the perfect accent here.

I'm happy you were able to return to your dress comfort zone! Love that scarf :) I can't imagine a field where I could pose. I'll have to start searching the surrounding areas, darn urban life... although I think I have awkward leg down as well
