Layered tights

All remixed except tights
Dress: Ross
Scarf: Target
Boots: Nine West
Tights: Target
Earrings: Kohl's

Y'all, I thought I was only going to be able to do a week of pink, for BBCA, but I think I can go a bit longer. And if you haven't already, you should check out Melissa's blog and see what the brain behind BBCA is up to.

Also, this is my first foray into tights layering. I got a pair of hot pink tights with BBCA in mind, but they're hot pink, you know? HOT PINK! And while there are plenty of ladies that pull off things like hot pink tights with style and panache, I am afraid of wearing them alone right now. So I threw a grey pair on over the hot pink and settled for this dusty rose/lilac/silver color. The effect is almost what we call in Spanish tornasol (see definition 2), which basically means that it changes color depending on the light.

I kind of like the way it turned out, pink without being shocking. You know what else I like? This scarf. The pattern is pretty and it's light and airy. It echoes the pink (and other colors) of my tights while not being too matchy-matchy.

  2. Cute, tornasol, man I'm learning more Spanish word with you, although I had heard it I really didn't know what the meaning of it was, I tried wearing double tights one time and I didn't quite like it, where you comfy? You look great though, that scarf is a great addition to the outfit and everytime you wear boots I want to wear mine too.

  3. I've had some fun with layering tights, though i've never done a sheer over an opaque -- just lace over opaque; your results are quite lovely!

I thought I have enough pink in my closet, turns out, not really. Gotta go shoppin' or somethin'!

  6. @ Shey, they weren't the MOST comfortable, but they weren't bad, either. I actually usually buy my tights a size up because the reason I stopped wearing them when I was fifteen was because I was tired of feeling like un pastel (or tamal) mal envuelto. They were always so tight! But going up a size makes me feel more comfortable - I think that's why the double tights weren't too bad.
