Multiples aka Outfits #20-22
Okay, y'all, it's the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend and I think I'm finally mostly caught up with life. Yes, I've still got about 2000 words to write for NaNoWriMo today, but I'm pretty much caught up with emails and blogs and work-type-stuff. So, phew. This should be the last ginormous post for a few days at least.
Sunday, B and I went to church with my parents and this is what I wore:
All remixed except tights and belt
Dress: Banana Republic
Belt: Ann Taylor (gift from my mamita)
Necklace: won in a giveaway from Twenty York Street
Earrings: Target
Leopard print tights: Target
Pumps: Steve Madden
I hate ironing. I ironed my hair, so clearly I couldn't iron my dress. Just kidding. This was after sitting at church for an hour and a half - that's why I'm all wrinkled.
I would like y'all to know that as I was straightening my hair, I found another cana (that's a grey hair). I might have to track down some henna rinse sooner rather than later, I will not lie. I haven't colored my hair since I was twenty-one, but I am much too young to be going grey, thank you very much.
Also, I don't know when my hair got so light. Doesn't it look super light? Weird. It's much darker when it's curly.
I changed for the drive back home to Philly.
All remixed
Tee: New York & Co.
Cardigan: Sonoma via Kohl's
Jeans: Elle via Kohl's
Boots: Target
Earrings: Turkey
Necklace: gift from my mom
I love this look. It was super comfortable (comfortable jeans?! Did I say that?!) and still looked chic and pulled together.
Oh, and don't worry; I just washed this shirt. Finally. After wearing it, oh, I don't know, four days in a row. 30x30 brings out the dirty girl in me.
And now, today:
All remixed except tights
Skirt: Ann Taylor
Top: Turkey
Earrings: Target
Pashmina: Turkey
Belt: Banana Republic
Tights: Simply Vera via Kohl's
Booties: Aldo
This turned out better than I expected. Remember the time I was obsessed with mixing black and brown? It's my favorite color combo these days. I like the lacy sleeves and back of this top with the utilitarian skirt.
Also, those are nude fishnets. I didn't think they'd be as warm as they are, what with all those holes, but they really are.
Oh, and y'all? Three weeks until we leave Philly and about two weeks after that before we're in Costa Rica. Whoa.

Costa Rica? Take me! You look great in those jeans - that whole outfit is so stylish and chic!

All three looks are fab!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely loving the last one, and I'm intrigued by the nude fishnets. I generally regard nude tights as geriatric, but a fishnet is anything but. I think you might be on to something here...
Chic on the Cheap
I really like all 3 looks on you, especially n.1. Your hair looks great straight...the last photo where you tuck the strand behind your ear, especially cool. You could try fixing it with a bobby pin there.
ReplyDeleteI really like the 3 looks. Could it be because of animal prints involved ?!
ReplyDeleteI think so.. I have a real love of animal prints they step it up !
My fave is the last one, I am intrigued by fish nets, I bought a pair 3 years ago !! and have not worn them.
I see them on people and admire them endlessly but then I try them on and I feel like a ho..
:(
All 3 looks are great and I love all the leopard touches and the tights.
ReplyDeleteDon't be scared of the gray. Embrace it like I did. I started getting stray grays at 16!! Coloring was just too much trouble, so I embraced it about 12 years ago.

And my hair was BLACK BLACK. As it started turning, it would get lighter.
Your hair looks so pretty straight :) My mom calls grey hairs "mentirosas"!
ReplyDeleteYou look very pretty with your hair straight! But I love your natural curls even more =D
ReplyDeletei like both looks actually whether it's straight or curly:)
