Halfway aka Outfit #15

All remixed
Pants: New York & Co.
Tee: New York & Co.
Cardigan: New York & Co.
Earrings: Banana Republic
Ring: Swapped
Booties: Aldo

I didn't realize that everything I had on today was from NY&Co until I got to work. What can I say, they've got great sales.

This outfit would never have happened if it weren't for the 30x30. I never would've thought to pair this fancy-schmancy cardigan with my leopard print tee, and I certainly never would've worn that bright yellow with black.

That said, I think it works. I feel like a rock star, which in my world is the sign of a good outfit. Also, this is the first time I've worn this cardi during this remix. That bring me up to 29 items worn. The item I haven't yet worn?

The sweater dress that I hadn't worn before the challenge either. The face I'm making in the picture above pretty much sums up my feelings towards that dress. I am NOT putting up with its foolishness. I want it to work with me, and it's not. B and I had a conversation where I told him that I was conflicted about kicking the dress out of my remix (and my closet) and subbing in another piece.

I still haven't decided what to do.... Anyway, tonight we're driving down to my parents' house in VA. I should be able to use part of the long weekend to catch up on the blogs. Between NaNoWriMo and the usual busyness of life, I've been slacking....

  4. Whoa, you're doing kendi's challenge and NaNoWriMo at the same time? I'm impressed. The yellow cardi looks wonderful. I'm a fellow remixer and want to wish you the best on the remaining challenge, sweater dress or not.

  5. I love yellow and black and leopard! I think it's a fab mix and you should totally feel like a rockstar.

(and if you really don't like the dress, ditch it! why try and force yourself to wear something that just wont work?)

    Chic on the Cheap

  7. Awww, its okay; I just wore one of my items for the first time with only 15 days left...which doesn't give a lot of time to remix it, but oh well! I love this color yellow on you!

  8. I love bright colors any day, this is a very well put together look. Frances I know I've been bad about doing a tutorial on how to do a new waist, tutorials are very hard and take a lot of time to do, but I found the perfect video for you, this lady shoes how to make a new waistband and explains it very well.

Ii also show more videos worth watching =D
