Summer Black-Out: Day 3

Fuchsia ruffle blouse: Banana Republic
Grey pinstripe trousers: Gap Factory Store
Electric blue patent pumps: Nine West (remixed)
Bubble hoops: gift from my mom (remixed)
Silver flower cuff: American Eagle (remixed)

Again, not a single black accessory in sight! Heeeey!

Of course, this being Philadelphia (which I almost just spelled with two Fs, the way it's spelled in Spanish), the weather is cool and grey and all I wanted to do today was put on one of my many, many black dresses and go off to work.

I resisted the urge, though, and built an outfit around this lovely fuchsia top. This is part of my birthday haul and I think it's gorgeous. The ruffles on the sleeves and the bold color sold me on it. This is pretty much the only shade of pink that I actually like on me; I guess I like bold pinks with my coloring.

I pulled out these grey trousers because I like pairing fuchsia with grey. Now y'all know that I own more than two pairs of proper work pants. I really am more of a skirt girl. I find skirts infinitely more comfortable, but these pants aren't too bad. They're decently comfy and don't create too much of a weird-o button bulge at the waistband. I know y'all know what I'm talking about. What is UP with that, pants?!

I also decided that if I was going to wear a crazy bright top, I should go from some equally bright shoes. Electric blue does the job nicely.

I really liked my accessories today.

Also, my hair?

Super easy and cute, even though it looks weird in that picture. I promise, I will figure out that stinkin' camera soon....
