I felt like I was cheating as I got dressed this morning. It really did feel weird to wear something that was NOT in my 30 for 30. Strange.

I ended up wearing three things that I wished had been in my 30 for 30 choices. It was pretty easy to get dressed this morning, because I just looked in the closet and KNEW that I'd missed these items.

It's a simple look, but I like to think that the ruffle on this shirt gives it some nice, subtle texture. I was a little wary of pairing ruffles with a paper bag waist - I was worried it'd be a "whole lot of look". I think that the simplicity of the outfit as a whole mitigated any issues that may have come up.

I could've thrown on some jewelry, but it was only my second day volunteering, and I'm always a little reluctant to go all out with accessories when I start working somewhere. Yes, I am concerned with how I'm perceived in the workplace. Aren't we all at least a little concerned?

Also, thank y'all so, so much for all the encouragement with the 30 for 30. I'm always amazed and humbled by the fact that I started doing this thing where I was basically just talking to the Internet, wondering if anyone was reading besides my husband and my good friends and now there are people who read it. And there's such community around it, too - so much interaction and sharing of ideas. It's kind of an amazing thing.
